GPOWER Charger OEM & ODM FAQ: 20 Answers for Buyers

GaN Charger Manufacturer | USB-C Charger OEM  ꄲ  GPOWER Charger OEM & ODM FAQ: 20 Answers for Buyers

Twenty direct answers to the questions buyers actually ask before choosing a charger factory — MOQ, samples, lead time, certifications, customization without new tooling, and how we work as an OEM/ODM partner from Foshan, China.

How to use this page: every answer is written to be actionable. Where a figure depends on your specific model and volume, we say so instead of quoting a number that would not survive first contact with your project — and we tell you exactly how to get the precise one.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom chargers?

MOQ depends on the model, the level of customization and component availability. Standard catalog models carry lower order thresholds than fully customized projects, and private-label orders based on an existing platform (for example a replaceable-panel model) sit in between. Share your target specification and annual volume via the quote form and we will confirm the exact MOQ that applies to your project.

How long does it take to get a sample?

Two different timelines apply. Samples of existing catalog models can be arranged quickly because tooling, jigs and firmware already exist. A fully customized project (new housing, new PCB layout or custom output profile) needs engineering preparation first, and tooling time is added where a new mold is required. Tell us which model you are starting from and we will give you a sample schedule with your quotation.

What is your production lead time for mass orders?

Mass production lead time depends on order volume, component lead times and the season. Orders confirmed against our standard platform models are typically faster than projects that introduce new components. Lead time is fixed in the order confirmation before production starts, and we flag long-lead components at quotation stage so there are no surprises mid-project.

Which certifications do your chargers have?

Our products have passed TÜV and other global certifications including CE, CB, KC, PSE, BSMI, UL, SAA, UKCA, RoHS and FCC, covering the major export markets in Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and Japan. Certificate details, versions and coverage scope are shared on request during sourcing discussions, and our Southeast Asia certification guide explains how country-specific approvals work for the six major ASEAN markets.

Can you print our logo on chargers and packaging?

Yes. As an OEM/ODM manufacturer we routinely apply customer logos to the charger housing, retail packaging, manuals and accessories. Printing or laser-etching options depend on the housing finish of the model you choose, and artwork requirements are confirmed during project preparation.

Can you customize the charger housing without new tooling?

Yes — this is one of our core differentiators. Several of our models, including the 45W, 67W, 70W and 100W series (GPOWER 1910 / 1910A), feature a replaceable decorative panel. As a private-label customer you can differentiate the look of your product line without paying for a new mold or increasing the order threshold, and change the panel design between production runs.

What is your monthly production capacity?

Our capacity is built on in-house SMT lines, an in-house mold shop, in-house transformer winding and an in-house electronics warehouse — see the manufacturing page for the facility overview. We confirm specific monthly output figures for your model and volume directly during quotation, because realistic capacity always depends on the product mix of that month.

How do you control quality?

Quality is controlled across the whole production flow: incoming materials are inspected before they enter the warehouse, assembly is checked in process on the SMT and packaging lines, and finished units go through functional and safety testing before shipment. Because SMT, molding and transformer winding are all in-house, we control the critical stages instead of coordinating them across subcontractors.

What are your payment terms?

We work with standard B2B payment methods used in international manufacturing trade. Exact terms are confirmed per order and depend on the cooperation stage, order volume and customization scope — first orders and long-term partners are handled differently. Our sales team will put the agreed terms in writing in the proforma invoice.

Do you provide warranty on your chargers?

Warranty coverage is specified in the order agreement for each product series. The terms cover manufacturing defects under normal use; the duration and scope for the model you are sourcing are confirmed in writing before you place the order, so you can pass them on to your own customers.

Can you work with our own design and PCB?

Yes, and it helps to be clear about the two modes. In OEM mode you bring the industrial design, specifications or PCB references and we manufacture to them. In ODM mode you start from one of our existing platforms and we adapt output profile, connectors, firmware behavior, housing finish and packaging to your brand. Both modes run through the same engineering and QC process; the difference is who owns the design.

Which countries do you export to?

We export worldwide and the current certification set covers the EU, US, UK, Australia, Japan and other Asia-Pacific markets (CE, UL, UKCA, SAA, PSE, KC and others). For Southeast Asia, our six-country certification map explains what each market requires; for the EU, see our guide to Regulation (EU) 2025/2052.

Can I visit your factory before placing an order?

Yes — we actively invite it. A visit lets you walk the SMT lines, mold shop, transformer winding and assembly areas, review records and interview the people who will run your project. Read our factory audit invitation for what to inspect and which documents to request, then contact us to schedule a visit in Foshan, Guangdong.

How do you handle defective units?

Defect handling is defined before mass production starts: the acceptable quality level for the order, the inspection standard applied at pre-shipment, and the remedy mechanism (replacement or credit) are all written into the order agreement. Because the critical production stages are in-house, root-cause analysis after a defect does not depend on a third party.

Do you supply only to brands, or also to retailers and distributors?

We are a B2B manufacturer. Our customers are consumer electronics brands, retail chains and importers, distributors, and telecom operators who bundle chargers with their devices. We manufacture and supply on an OEM/ODM basis — your product, your brand, your market.

What is the difference between GaN and traditional silicon chargers?

Gallium nitride (GaN) transistors switch faster and lose less energy than the silicon MOSFETs used in traditional chargers. For the buyer this means three practical things: a GaN charger of the same power output is smaller and lighter, it runs cooler, and it converts power more efficiently. Our GaN vs traditional chargers article covers the physics in detail.

Which plug types can you supply?

We supply interchangeable plug configurations covering the major standards: EU, UK, AU and US. Foldable-pin options are available on selected models, which matters for travel chargers and for brands selling into several regions with one SKU platform.

What power range do your chargers cover?

Our current mass-production range covers USB-C PD chargers from 20W up to 140W, across wall chargers, multi-port desktop chargers and chargers with AC outlets, plus semi-solid and Qi2 magnetic power banks. Our 240W platform has completed tooling — contact us for its current project status.

How do I get a quote?

Use the request-a-quote form or email jackie@g-pow.cc. The more specific your input (target power, ports, plug type, certification markets, annual volume, customization level), the more precise the first quotation will be. Sample requests and factory visit scheduling go through the same channel.

Do you make chargers with built-in cables or displays?

Yes. Selected models integrate a retractable USB-C cable (for example the 40W GPOWER 4140 with a 72cm cable and the 65W GPOWER 4065), which removes the lost-cable problem for hotel, retail and gifting scenarios. We also build chargers with integrated displays — 65W LCD, 60W TFT and 100W TFT variants — that show real-time charge status and port allocation.
